Based in Philadelphia, Bench Dog Design is a collaboration of architects and designers who share a passion for the craft of woodworking, the importance of sustainable practices, and a love for the city we reside in. Bench Dog Design is a unique design and fabrication studio with a broad array of capabilities .
Using lumber salvaged from Philadelphia, Bench Dog Design transforms discarded beams and joists into custom designed furniture. Bench Dog’s commitment to reclaimed local materials ensures eco-friendly products with character. At the core of its foundation, Bench Dog values the integrity of the craft, thoughtful detailing, and quality design.
Bench Dog was estabilished in 2009 by 4 friends (a couple of couple to be exact). With backgrounds in architecture, carpentry, sustainability, woodworking and graphic design, the team at Bench Dog Design creates innovative design solutions. From concept development to fabrication, Bench Dog has the experience to handle all phases of design.
